Beethoven was black.

Alexandre Dumas was mixed race, as was his father, who was a war hero during the French Revolution.

Alexander Pushkin had a black (Ethiopian) great-grandfather.

Alessandro de Medici had a mixed race mother. (I swear, them all being Alexanders, is not my fault).

Spanish painter Juan de Pareja, was mixed race.

A surprising number of European historical figures aren’t entirely white. A lot of these people pretended/passed during their lifetimes because, well…we know why.
